"And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness. Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built." Zechariah 8:6-9 The LAWKEEPERS - What Do We Believe? 1. We believe the entire "Old Testament" (Hebrew Scriptures from Genesis to Malachi) known as the Tanakh, (Books of Moses) and the (Books of the Prophets.) 2. We believe only in ONE God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who's Name is YIHOVAH as the only true God, creator of the heavens and the earth. 3. We observe the Sabbath as commanded by YIHOVAH beginning on the 7th day of the week. (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.) 4. We observe all of the Holy Days commanded by YIHOVAH i.e. Passover, Feast of Unleavend bread, Feast of Weeks, Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, Feast of Booths and Shenni Atzeret. 5. We believe as fortold in scripture, that the Nation of Yisrael was "scattered to the four corners of the earth". That the book of Deuteronomy describes the curses that befail them and their decendants and we are those decendants. 6. We believe that the "African Slave Trade" and the slavery and bondage that resulted, is the final fullfillment of the book of Deuteronomy 28:64-68 and Chapter 30, that Yisrael would go into captivity in the lands of other nations to serve them. That we would call to mind our experiences and what is written in that book in the lands of our captivity, as we are doing this very day, and seek to return to YIHOVAH the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our forefathers, with our whole heart, soul and mind. 7. We believe as fortold in the books of the Prophets, that YIHOVAH God will call a "remnant" out of the nations to which we were scattered, to return to him and the land promised to our forefathers; to worship him according to the Laws, Stautes and Judgements given to the Nation of Yisrael when God brought them out of the land of Egypt. That by means of the remnant YIHOVAH will again make himself known to the nations of the earth. That then all the nations of the earth shall know that He is YIHOVAH. That a NEW covenant will be made with the House of Yisrael and Judah as fortold in Jeremiah 31, that the LAW will go forth from Jerusalem and that His Holy Name YIHOVAH will be Sanctified in all the earth.
