THE LAW KEEPERS
JUST HOW IMPORTANT AND SIGNIFICANT IS GOD’S LAW? “And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee, “And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; “That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee. “And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. “And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.” Deuteronomy 30:1-3,6,8 “When all Israel is come to appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.“Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:” Deuteronomy 31:ll,12 “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah 1:19“And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” Isaiah 2:3 “That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: “Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:” Isaiah 30:9,10 “Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. “Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him. “For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. “Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.” Isaiah 51:1-4 “And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, show them the form of the house and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.” Ezekiel 43:11 And GOD’s Laws are even more important to us living today than they were previously. Our forefathers did not keep GOD’s Law, were cursed into captivity, and are now dead. Those of us alive today have every opportunity to continue living by keeping this Great Law and taking part in ushering in GOD’s Kingdom – but ONLY if we turn to HIM with our whole heart and soul to do what’s required of us. “Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it “Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” Deuteronomy 4:5,6; “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. ”The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether ”More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.“Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:7 - 11 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: “That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” Deuteronomy 30:19,20 “And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. “For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.: Deuteronomy 32:46,47 “And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.” Nehemiah 9:29 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” Psalm 111:10 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: “Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Jeremiah 31:31 - 33 Please note that the “New Testament” Book does not revolve around GOD’s Law but in many cases outright contradicts it and even goes against GOD’s Commandments. Don’t let those of us who have returned be found guilty of accepting this book and of changing GOD’s Ordinances. “The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:5 The Righteous Remnant that the Holy ONE of Israel will call will observe ONLY the Laws, Statutes, and Judgments that HE gave to the Children of Israel in the Wilderness and the same ones HE intended for us to observe forever! We cannot forget that GOD’s Law is given to us to keep, live, and do in righteousness and teach them to our children, and they are to teach them to their children from generation to generation. And with keeping of HIS Law we have enough to do. Why add more or seek to observe more rituals to do that weren’t commanded of us, and that the Children of Israel did not practice in the Wilderness or in the Land of Israel? “Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. “Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.” Deuteronomy 4:39,40 “Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: “That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and they son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. “Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:” Deuteronomy 6:1-4 “O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!” Deuteronomy 5:29. |
