A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE LAWKEEPERS, CO.:

THE BOOK OF NUMBERS

The book of Numbers begins with the Most High Elohim commanding Moses to take the number (the first census) of the children of Yisrael.  Each tribe was numbered and everyone knew his pedigree and was proud to be able to reconcile to what family he or she belonged.

We all know that the Twelve Tribes have been scattered throughout the four corners of the earth, and that the true identity of Yisrael has been usurped by the so-called “jews”.

If a census of Yisrael was to be taken today true Yisraelites would have to prove there pedigree by referring to Deuteronomy 28:64-68. Even if these scriptures were used to prove one’s identity, Yisraelites and non-Yisraelites would claim that there is not enough purity in the bloodlines to define tribal identity.

The irony about the matter of Yisrael’s identity is that the majority of Yisraelites either don’t care or don’t want to know who they are.

So when unenlightened or consciously aware Yisraelite Brothers and Sisters dress up as Santa Claus, and take part in the rituals and traditions of this so-called “holiday season” it is just shameful.

YIHOVAH gave The House of Yisrael good laws, statutes, and commandments to live by.  Let us practice these traditions and rituals, Brothers and Sisters.

“Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

“For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

“They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

“They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

JEREMIAH 10:1 - 5

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

Tribute to the New Moon Revised:

PLEASE TAKE PART IN “SIGHTING” THE NEW MOON

<<<The First Day of the “HEBREW” Month>>>

START THE NEXT NEW MOON WATCH ON THE EVENINGS OF

<<<DECEMBER 4,5,6, 2002>>>

BY LOOKING IN THE “WEST” JUST ABOVE THE HORIZON.

“He appointed the moon for seasons…”

Psalm 104:19

The first “Sign” in the Heavens to provide the start of days, years and “seasons” can only begin with the “Sighting” of the New Moon Crescent - that which we can “see” in order for it to serve as a “Sign” and enable us to begin counting our days.   Just imagine not being able to “see” the moon at all.  How then could it be appointed for seasons?

“The natural thought might be that the moon is like a living being.  It is born, grows, reaches maximum size, then fades and dies, going through all these stages in one month.  Even today, we still talk of the thin crescent in the western sky as a new moon and the thin crescent in the eastern sky a month later as the old moon.  Half way between is the full moon.  As I explained earlier, this cycle of phases of the moon established the month as a unit of time, and the first calendars were based on this.”   ISAAC ASIMOV’S GUIDE TO EARTH AND SPACE, pages 79 and 80

In that the King of Israel is supposed to be a “Righteous Judge” (II Chronicles 1:11), it stands to reason that he is also supposed to be a “Righteous Role Model.”  Thus, if the King that GOD appoints over Israel observes a “feast” on the day of the New Moon, then wisdom tells the Nation of Israel to do likewise.  King Saul and the anointed David observed this service (I Samuel 20th Chapter).

To their and our hurt our forefathers worshipped all manner of symbols:  the sun, moon, stars, and images of gold and silver.  To observe the “Sign” in the heavens as being the New Moon “Sighting” is NOT worshipping the moon, but rather it is doing as we are COMMANDED in Genesis 1:14:

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:”

***

“Sing aloud unto God our strength:  make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

“Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed,

on our solemn feast day.

“For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.”

Psalm 81:1 - 4

(A Psalm of Asaph, the Seer –

one who should be well informed about GOD’s Ways)

“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for

a memorial before your God:  I am the LORD your God.”

Numbers 10:10

Contrary to the belief of some Israelites, the moon does indeed shine!  Whether the Moon shines on its own or with the aid of the sun, IT STILL SHINES!  And the fact that Scripture attests to this fact, is what’s important:  Isaiah 60:19; Jeremiah 31:35; and Ezekiel 32:7.  Therefore, Genesis 1:14 is proof enough that we must use the shining New Moon Crescents as “…SIGNS, AND FOR SEASONS, AND FOR DAYS, AND FOR YEARS:”

Some Israelites, along with White Jews, use the dark phase of the moon to determine the start of a new month.  If the dark phase of the moon lasts for “2-3 days,” then which of these days is supposed to be the distinguishing “Sign” that determines the First Day of the month?  Or do we just arbitrarily select either or depending on the imaginations of our hearts?   On the contrary, with the use of the sighted “Sign” of the New Moon Crescent in the Heavens we eliminate any confusion as to which day IS the First Day of the month.  The only problem that presents itself is cloud coverage that prevents the ability to see the New Moon Crescent.   Nonetheless, one can easily distinguish the New Moon Crescent “Sighting” from all the other phases due to its thin sliver and its low position in the heavens, and the reason is that no two days or rather phases of the visible moon are alike.  Thus, to use the New Moon Crescent as the “Sign” in the heavens, as we are COMMANDED to do for our seasons, days, and years, negates the belief that the “commandment was given to the luminaries.”  The “luminaries” fulfill GOD’s Commandments:  the sun shines and the moon orbits the Earth.  They have no need to determine seasons, days, and years.  Hence, our New Moons are obviously of more spiritual significance to the Nation of Israel than we are aware.  And for sure, the TRUTH concerning them are in GOD’s WORD to HIS Prophets/Seers - not the White Jews or other Gentiles.  All we need do is use wisdom, discern what’s written in Scripture, and accept it!

Unless there is an emergency, please try not to buy or sell on this day.  Conduct all financial and business transactions prior to the day of the New Moon.  Interesting enough, II Kings 4:23,24 constitutes the New Moon as being a day to seek “the man of God.”  Although the New Moon is NOT a Day of Rest, Our GOD did set it aside for recognition:

“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.”   Psalm 81:3

“And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.”   Isaiah 66:23

“…When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn?…”   Amos 8:5

Probably, the Scripture that most determines and clarifies the fact that our New Moons are Feast Days is Ezekiel 45:17:

“And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the Sabbaths, in ALL SOLEMNITIES of the house of Israel:  he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the HOUSE OF ISRAEL.”   (Caps. are mine.)

Unequivocally, our New Moons are included in these “SOLEMNITIES” mentioned in Ezekiel 45:17.

“Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the Sabbaths [Feasts – NOT 7th Day Sabbaths*] and in the NEW MOONS.”   Ezekiel 46:3   (Brackets are mine.)

Thereby, this verse justifies the First Day of each month being our “Feast” Day.  It should be realized that the Feast Days that Our GOD selected are “Holy Convocations,” i.e., on these days we cannot do any work.  However, because King Saul observed the New Moon as a Feast Day, we have every reason to do so, as well.   We also have learned that our forefathers traveled to the Temple to worship the Holy ONE on the New Moon (II Kings 4:23 and Ezekiel 45:17), and when HE has HIS Temple rebuilt, then we will again be able to resume this service.

When we return to our heritage and worship YIHOVAH according to HIS Ways, then we can establish our own “Calendar of the Universe,” whereby, the days of the New Moon and all GOD’s Holy Days will be recognized by the whole entire World.

HINTS FOR HARDY, HEALTHY HEBREWS:

With so many recipes floating around the Internet, I hesitate to add this one.  But because so many people love pasta and wish to lose weight (and I am one of them), I just couldn’t resist.  This one just makes my mouth water.  I found it in the Woman’s World Magazine – where else?   The caption, “Lose 19 Pounds” caught my attention:

FOOL YOUR TASTE BUDS AND LOSE 19 POUNDS

Great news for dieters!  Traditional lunch and dinner entrees, altered to make them lower in calories, are just as satisfying as the real McCoys.  Researchers served volunteers extra-large portions of lunch and dinner entrees – like pasta salad and chicken noodle casserole – at three different calorie levels on different days, allowing them to eat as much as they liked.

The results?  They ate the same amount of food no matter what the calorie level, and rated them all equally tasty and filling!  But those served the lower-calorie meals ate an average of 424 calories a day less than other volunteers.  How can these findings help you lose weight?

“The calorie levels of the test dishes were lowered by using more vegetables – which contain more fiber and water so they fill you up quicker for fewer calories – less pasta and yogurt dressing in place of regular on the salads,” explains Barbara Gollman, R.D.  Try this technique at home just three times a week, and you could slash enough calories to lose up to 19 pounds a year!

STIR-FRY BEEF AND SPINACH WITH NOODLES

These savory strips of steak nestled on a bed of noodles and fresh spinach are so delicious – for only 367 calories per serving – you’ll find yourself whipping up this easy recipe again and again!

¼ cup hoisin sauce

2 Tbs. Reduced-sodium soy sauce

2 tsp. Dark sesame oil

2 large cloves garlic, crushed

¼ tsp. Crushed red pepper

1 lb. Beef round tip steaks, 1/8” – 1/4 “ thick, cut into 1” - wide strips

6 oz. Thin spaghetti, cooked and drained

1 (10-oz.) pkg. Fresh spinach, stems removed, finely chopped

1 (8-oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained

¼ cup sliced green onions

2 Tbs. Chopped red chili peppers

In bowl combine first 5 ingredients, plus 1 Tbs. Water; and beef, tossing to coat.  Cover and marinate in refrigerator 10 minutes.  Remove beef from marinade; serve marinade.  Heat nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry 1-2 minutes, until center of beef is no longer pink.  Remove beef.  In same skillet, combine pasta, spinach, chestnuts, onions and marinade. Cook until mixture is heated through, stirring occasionally.  Return beef to skillet; mix lightly.  Garnish with chili peppers.

Makes 5 servings.  Per serving:  367 cals.; 27 g. protein; 7 g. fat; 55 mg. Chol; 47 g. carbs. 452 mg. Sodium; 5 g. fiber; 4 g. sugar

Just an added note from yours truly that might help with your weight loss program:  I have found that if I take vitamins, I eat less.  My personal rationale is that if I don’t take vitamins, there’s obviously something nutritional missing in my diet.  And when I don’t take my vitamins, I will eat several things in an effort to satisfy that craving for that undetermined “something” that keeps me stuffing food in my mouth.  So, if you find yourself craving for something, and you just don’t know what it is, try taking vitamins.  It might also help you with your efforts to eat less and lose weight.

May the Holy ONE of Israel be with us to keep us safe and informed in order that we make wise and healthy decisions.

The Israelites received Reparations for their free labor when they left out of Egypt (Exodus 12:35,36, Psalm 105:37).   Note also that Reparations were given to Ezra for the building of GOD’s Temple and for the service of the House of the LORD GOD of Israel (Ezra 7:12 –21).  And it is prophesied that we will again receive compensation for our free labor and bondage in this modern-day Egypt (all the lands that took Israelites captive):

“The Lord said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.”   Jeremiah 15:11

EDITORIAL  PERSPECTIVE:

A PEOPLE THAT SHALL BE BORN

“…the eyes of the LORD run to and from throughout the whole earth,

to shew himself strong in the behalf of them

whose heart is perfect toward him….”

II Chronicles 16:9

“Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Psalm 65:4

                                                                                                                        November 24, 2002

A while back, maybe three months ago, I made mention that the Holy ONE of Israel is looking for the cream of the crop.  Well, I’m sure this is nothing new to Israelites who have knowledge of GOD’s WORD.  And those of you who do not, please know also that the GOD of Israel is reading hearts and answering the prayers of those who seek HIM and HIS Truth to believe in HIM with their whole heart and soul.

“Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.“   Psalm 73:25

Nevertheless, GOD doesn’t always respond when we approach HIM with questions and requests.  Actually, in my humble opinion, I feel that sincerity, urgency, need, and contrition all play a part in determining if Our GOD of Israel will react when we call upon HIM.  In any case, I urge you to read what happened on a very special “Sunday” in “A TESTIMONIAL” printed in this edition of The LawKeepers JOURNAL.  It will not only bring you to tears, but it will warm your heart and make you realize that the Holy ONE of Israel does indeed LIVE and hear our prayers if we turn to HIM with our whole heart and soul.

“The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. “Psalm 34:17 – 19

“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57:15

“For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.    Isaiah 66:2

More importantly, Our Holy ONE, that loves us dearly, reacts even if we do not make requests.  While deep in thought and reading HIS WORD, HE directs us as we turn from one page to another reading Scripture and from one chapter to another.  Our Holy ONE communicates with us during this process.  Not always are we aware of it, but just think for a moment.  How else are we enlightened?  Is it not HE that is responsible for opening our eyes and taking us out of darkness?   Is it not the Holy ONE of Israel that has promised to cause our return to our heritage?  We know HIS Truth ONLY because HE has had mercy on us to reveal HIS WORD to us!  And just as vital, Our GOD watches over us, as well as our loved ones.  We can’t carry our spouses and children around with us throughout the day while we work.  We can’t save our children from being hit by a car or from getting burned or mugged.  But Our GOD of Abraham can!  HE sees everything and can prevent accidents and tragedies from happening.  If we do what’s required of us and trust and cleave unto HIM, HE will not let us down.

“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

“For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

“Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

“Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

“I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Isaiah 43:1 – 7

I should also say that when the Holy ONE of Israel communicates HIS directives to our hearts, we may not respond accordingly, but we know what HE has done. Our GOD of Israel makes us know it!  No matter how hard we might want to dismiss HIS Message, we can’t.  Even if there is the least amount of doubt whatsoever, the Holy ONE makes us know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it is HE that causes these realizations.  Thus, if we do not follow through with what we have been advised to do, then we must deal with the consequences.  Therefore, know and realize that it pays to listen to HIS Counsel and to be obedient to HIS Charge.

“Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

“The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

“Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

“Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.    Isaiah 1:1 - 5

It behooves us to realize that although the Most High GOD of Hosts has scattered us from our heritage, HE has left us a witness, Deuteronomy 30th Chapter, a promise that we can return – a means for Our GOD and SAVIOR to prove HIMSELF - but ONLY IF we return to HIS Ways to live Righteously according to HIS Book of the Law.  As we all know, we are living in troublous times or rather “the time of Jacob’s Trouble…” and “The Day of the LORD” – a time when the heathen and the “Dry Bones” need beware to do some serious soul searching and make some significant decisions.   And if not, be ready to perish as GOD prepares to DELIVER the Righteous Remnant of HIS Chosen People and re-establish HIMSELF as the ONE and ONLY True GOD and SAVIOR of this Universe.

“O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.    Psalm 65:2

“Arise, O God, judge the earth:  for thou shalt inherit all nations.”   Psalm 82:8

“All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.”   Psalm 86:9

“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

“I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

“Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.    Isaiah 45:22 – 24

In more ways than one, Our GOD of Abraham, not only sends personal messages to us, but HE keeps us well warned of what’s written in HIS WORD, as well as the destruction and horrors to befall the unrighteous upon HIS Earth.  We can’t hide from this knowledge.  And if we could, then we would be able to say, “Well, I didn’t know.”  But the JUST and Most High GOD of Israel won’t leave us in a position to utter this statement.   The Holy ONE gives everyone an opportunity to hear HIS WORD and react to accept or reject it, and just so that we won’t be able to blame HIM for our losing our own souls.   Whether we admit it or not, the Merciful GOD of Israel knows HIS Business, HE knows the games and the devious moves of HIS rebellious People, and HE knows just how conniving we stiffnecked Israelites can be.  Thus, because HE is a GOD of Manifold Mercies, HE knows what HE must do to for HIS Holy Name’s Sake.  Therefore, in the end, no one will be able to point the finger at HIM and say, “GOD let me down.”   No; GOD let no one down.  It’s not HIS fault when we turn to HIM our deaf ear thinking that we can live according to our beliefs and survive at it in the process.  More times than not, Our YIHOVAH has proven HIMSELF to be a JUST and MERCIFUL GOD, and when HE causes HIS Wrath to destroy all who continue to reject HIM, then of a Truth, HE is absolutely within HIS right to do so.  We are the rebellious ones who are bold and defiant and unconcerned about all that HE has left for us to know and do.  We unwisely believe that our captors and their racist society will remain and that we will be able to prosper in their “field of dreams” and from their corruption and fraud.  We only deceive ourselves when we choose to reject GOD’s WORD and HIS warnings written in Scripture.

“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

“The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

“The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

“More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
