The service of this
solar/lunar
calendar of TORAH
Realizing that even some Israelites use the
dark
phase of the moon to call the new month, I would like to add one
obvious fact.
By
definition, there can only be a “New Moon,” per se, after the
dark phase
interval and when the
If the dark phase of the moon begins the
First Day of
the month, then when the
It’s the absence of seeing the moon for
forty-eight
or more hours that enables us to identify the approaching Crescent
“Sign” in the
Heavens (mentioned in Genesis 1:14) that recognizes the moon as being
“New.”
And upon
“Sighting” this “New” Crescent” we distinguish it as being the
“New Moon” and
the time of the New Month, as well.
PLEASE NOTE:
The
Hebrew New Year is also determined by the “LIGHTS” in the
Heavens and not
by the “sighting of barley,” as some Black Hebrew Israelites and
European “Jews”

The first “Sign” in the Heavens to
provide the start
of days, years and “seasons” can only begin with the “Sighting”
of the New Moon
Crescent - that which we can “see” in order for it to serve as a
“Sign” and
enable us to begin counting our days and months. Just imagine not being
able to
“see” the moon at all.
How then
could it be appointed for a “Sign” or for
“seasons”?
“The natural thought might be that the
moon is like a
living being. It is born,
grows,
reaches maximum size, then fades and dies, going through all these
stages in one
month. Even today, we
still talk of
the thin crescent in the western sky as a new moon and the
thin
crescent in the eastern sky a month later as the old moon. Half way between is the
full
moon. As I explained
earlier,
this cycle of phases of the moon established the month as a unit of
time, and
the first calendars were based on this.” ISAAC ASIMOV’S

In that the King of Israel is supposed to
be a
“Righteous Judge” (II Chronicles 1:11), it stands to reason
that he is
also supposed to be a “Righteous Role Model.” Thus, if the King that GOD
appoints over

stars, and images of gold and silver.
To observe the “Sign” in the heavens as being the New Moon
“Sighting” is
NOT worshipping the moon, but rather it is doing as we are COMMANDED

Some people feel that the moon has no
“light,” but
according to GOD’s WORD to HIS Prophets, it most certainly

Contrary to the belief of some Israelites,
the moon
does indeed shine! Even
if the Moon
shines with the aid of the sun, i.e., reflects the light of the sun, IT
STILL
SHINES! And the fact that Scripture
attests to
this fact, is what’s important:
Isaiah 60:19; Jeremiah 31:35; and Ezekiel 32:7. Therefore, Genesis 1:14 is
proof
enough that we must use the shining New Moon Crescents as “…SIGNS,
AND FOR
SEASONS, AND FOR DAYS, AND FOR YEARS:”
Some Israelites, along with White Jews, use
the dark
phase of the moon to determine the start of a new month.
If the
dark phase of the moon lasts for “2-3 days,” then which of these
days is
supposed to be the distinguishing “Sign” that determines the First
Day of the
month? Or do we just
arbitrarily
select either/or depending on the imaginations of our hearts?
On the contrary, with the use of the
sighted
“Sign” of the
“So David hid himself in the field: and
WHEN THE
NEW MOON WAS COME, the king sat him down to eat meat.” I Samuel 20:24
At the time of the dark phases of the moon
(generally
2-3 days), as previously written, there is no “moon” in SIGHT. Therefore, I Samuel 20:24
sheds more
light on Genesis 1:14.
“WHEN THE
NEW MOON WAS COME,” is clearly telling readers that this is a
reference
to a visible “
The only problem that presents itself when
using the
“New Moon Sighting” to call the First Day of the month is cloud
coverage, as
this prevents the ability to see the

on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,

according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the
new moons,

not to buy
or sell on this day.
Conduct all
financial and business transactions prior to the day of the New
Moon. Interesting enough, II Kings
4:23,24
constitutes the New Moon as being a day to seek “the man of
God.” Although the New Moon is
NOT a Day of
Rest, Our GOD did set it aside for recognition:
“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in
the time
appointed, on our solemn feast day.”

“And it shall come to pass, that from
one new moon
to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to
worship
before me, saith the LORD.”

Probably, the Scripture that most
determines and
clarifies the fact that our New Moons are Feast Days is Ezekiel
45:17:
“And it shall be the prince’s part to
give burnt
offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts,
and in the
NEW MOONS, and in the Sabbaths, in ALL SOLEMNITIES of the house
of
Israel: he shall
prepare the
sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the
peace
offerings, to make reconciliation for the HOUSE OF
ISRAEL.” (Caps. are mine.)
Unequivocally, our New Moons are included
in these
“SOLEMNITIES” mentioned in Ezekiel
45:17.
“Likewise the people of the land shall
worship at the
door of this gate before the LORD in
the Sabbaths [Feasts – NOT 7th Day Sabbaths*] and in the NEW
MOONS.” Ezekiel 46:3 (Brackets are
mine.)
Thereby, this verse justifies the First Day
of each
month being our “Feast” Day. It should be realized that the
Feast
Days that Our GOD selected (Leviticus 23rd Chapter) are “Holy
Convocations,”
i.e., on these days we cannot do any work.
However, because King Saul observed the New Moon as a Feast Day,
we have
every reason to do so, as well.
We also have learned that our forefathers traveled to the

according to HIS Ways, then we can establish our own “Calendar of the
Universe,”
whereby, the days of the New Moon and all GOD’s Holy Days will be
recognized by

ALSO, I believe that if Lot (Genesis 19:3)

Abraham (Genesis 21:8) can proclaim “Feasts,” then there is no
stipulation for
NOT establishing Feast Days, as we so desire.
Therefore, to proclaim a feast to EXALT the Holy ONE of Israel
on the
First Day of each month is quite acceptable - given the Scripture
(above)
regarding worshipping Our LORD GOD of ISRAEL, Our SAVIOR, on the New
Moons. We should know
that
throughout the Tanakh Hebrew Israelites called for “feasts” for
various
occasions. Therefore, we
are within
our rights to observe a Feast every New Moon to Our GOD, the GOD of
Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob/Israel.
And those of us who love this WONDERFUL GOD and who choose HIM
to
EXALT HIM for being the ONLY LORD and SAVIOR can be at liberty to use
the day of
the New Moon to show forth HIS PRAISE in a “feast” and worship HIM
in Jerusalem

Day also marks the Anniversary of GOD ending the Creations of the
Heavens,
Earth, man, and all that is therein.

God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he

Holy Seventh Day Sabbath of Complete REST, i.e., how we are supposed to
keep
it, as well as the consequences for profaning it. And there are no
exceptions.
CONCERNING “HOLY
CONVOCATION”
The issue stemming from the meaning of
“Holy
Convocation” written in Leviticus 23rd Chapter is real, and
the
interpretation is grossly misunderstood.
“Holy Convocation” does not mean “To Gather.” And the sin committed by
traveling and
gathering on the CREATOR’s Holy Sabbath of Complete REST has grave
consequences
(Exodus 31:12 - 18).
Conclusive evidence that “holy
convocation” DOES NOT
mean to assemble is provided in the passage on Passover. In Exodus 12:16 we are
told that
Passover is a “holy convocation” but yet, we are Commanded to
observe this High

convocation” cannot mean to assemble, but rather to keep the holy days

and go into
their tents”
(Deuteronomy 16:5-7)
that this is proof of an assembly.

WE
DON'T ALWAYS NEED PROFESSIONAL EXPERTS
MOST OF OUR
PARENTS
TAUGHT US WELL
Most of us are clean people
because our
parents and ancestors saw to it that we learned to be intolerant to
filth. We
were taught to wash our hands, bathe often, protect and oil our
skin (you
do remember Vaseline)?
We
knew to cover our nose and mouths when we sneezed to prevent the
spread of
germs. We were told to cover our feet and heads, to keep our ears
covered, to
drink liquids like soup and tea while recovering from colds/flu, and to
keep dry
and wear a coat in the Winter. And we didn't need professional experts
to tell
us this. And the last place we wanted to be was in the
hospital.
Now, we see our children
dressing like
they just came in from
Over the past several decades
the
so-called experts have mistaught the general public that disinfecting
that is
keeping schools or public places scrubbed was unnecessary. Now
we're seeing
the affects of mass miseducation about health and the spread of
infectious
disease and the rise of infection rates.
How soon we forget the news
about the person infected with a virulent and resistant form
of TB who
was able to travel abroad after he was told of his infectious state. He
also
knew that travel for him was restricted until he was treated. You know
the rest.
He traveled anyway, spreading this dreadful form of TB to countless
others. He
was neither detained nor arrested. He was even allowed to travel again
across
country to reach a hospital known to treat this form of TB. And then we
find out
from the press that a member of his family works in a government
agency
that researches the *MRSA (Methicillin Resistant) virus, no
less!
Where are the follow-up
stories about
his treatment? Or the family member who experiments with MRSA or
the
tracking of people who may have been exposed to his wanderings while he
was
infectious?
We don't see this type of
important
follow-up news in the media. Instead we're giving doses of "Mike
Tyson is
arrested again," O. J. Simpson may get life for robbery, or Michael
Jackson may
lose Neverland or is Brittany Spears ok?
I have found over my 30 plus
years in the health care community that just because someone
dresses
well, is well educated, and looks good doesn't always mean that they've
washed
their hands after toileting.
We talk about
spreading bacteria
or viruses. The advertisers are just now advertising about the
importance of
hand washing, using chlorine bleach for disinfecting services, and
washing off
countertops. Our mothers and fathers knew. Our homes smelled of
disinfectants.
The advertisers and health
experts play
down how affective even one capful of chlorine bleach is at destroying
viruses
and bacteria because they want us to buy the myriad of diluted and
pleasantly-spring scented-overpriced products.
MRSA or other harmful
bacterial and
viral diseases didn't just appear out of the blue. It's just the
newest
scare tactic used to keep people excited and to give an opportunity for
a
"rescue," for yet another product for you to buy. But it is another
disease for
which the health care community finds problematic in treating and
controlling.
In most cases we know how to stay well far better than most so-called
experts
and even advertisers. You are your own best advocate when it comes to
knowing
how to stay well. Prevention is key.
Keep in mind also how the
victims of
Katrina faired when it came to depending on any government system coming
to
their rescue or aid for food, clothing, shelter, transportation,
communication, health care, or protection.
Think of the desert peoples
and how
they have survived in harsh environments. How did they toilet, make
fires,
wash their cloths, tend to wounds, have babies, bury their dead, wash
themselves, etc.? Do you think they were infected by the likes of
something like
MRSA?
Lastly, below is a quote from
an
article where one fact is a key element/statement about MRSA that was
shared:
"In the case of MRSA,
American farmers
or government officials may also need to test pigs, which have been
found to
harbor the infection in other countries
For those people who are
still
consuming swine flesh, how can they possibly know where their
hog/pig/swine/ is coming from when this administration refuses to
put the
countries of origin labels on meats?
So, in conclusion we are
still
challenged to stay well in an environment replete with poisons,
toxins and filth. Yet despite it all, we know that it is with
YHWH's
mercy that HE sustains us all.

Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a variant of a common bacteria species that normally
causes
easily-treated staph infections. While staph
infections are
not usually life-threatening, if untreated they can cause wounded flesh
to
necrotize (die), leading to painful and disfiguring abscesses. In severe
cases,
the bacteria can spread to other parts of the body, such as joints,
bones,

inflammation by reducing stress, eliminating sugar and processed
foods, and
getting enough sunshine.
Diet is a key part of your

foods and ways to incorporate them into your lifestyle:
Broccoli has tons of vitamin C and
plenty of

RECIPES
FOR: COLD/FLU
BREW
2 1/4 teaspoons Elderflower blooms
2
1/4
teaspoons Yarrow flowers and leaves
1 3/4 teaspoons Peppermint
1/4
teaspoon Stevia (your choice)
2 1/4 teaspoon Echinacea leaf
3 cups
of
distilled water
Place all herbs except Peppermint in water, cover
and
simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Take off heat then add Peppermint. Steep
this for
an additional 10 minutes. Strain off herb and throw away. Drink up
to 3
cups daily as needed. Keep tea in refrigerator.
This blend is comforting and healing during
the
misery of colds and flu. It helps remove toxins and heat from the body.
It
fights viral infection and acts as a decongestant.
1. IMMUNE POWER FRUIT
This is a drink rich in many nutrients
vital to the
immune system. It also abounds in flavonoids and other nutrients
that have
demonstrated antiviral and antioxidant effects. The banana
increases the
viscosity of the drink and allow for slower absorption of the sugars, an
important goal during an active infection.
1 orange, peeled
1/2 pineapple with skin, sliced
1/2 cup strawberries

This is a great immune fortifier,

Handful of parsley

parsley; push it through with a carrot. Alternate the remaining
ingredients.
3. KILL THE COLD
This is a great drink to have when you feel
a cold
(or the flu) coming on. It is a diaphoretic tea, meaning that it
will warm
you from the inside and promote perspiration. It's pleasant to
drink even
when you don't have a cold and just want to warm up and feel good.
1-inch slice of ginger
1/4 lemon
1 cup of hot water
Juice the ginger and lemon and add it to
the cup of
water. You may want to add some honey, nutmeg or
cardamom.

As always, before starting ANY exercise
program
and/or diet, check with your doctor and get his approval. This is all about being safe
rather than
sorry.
And if you feel you are suffering from
depression, do
know that there are medications available for you. Don’t be embarrassed; this
malady goes
with the RAT RACE.
Therefore, see
your doctor, and feel better fast!
Have you started that “Walking” for
weight loss and
healthy heart routine, yet? There is no excuse for not going it alone,
joining
with someone, or even forming a group to take that walk at least five
(5) times
a week and for 40 minutes minimum.
So, stop procrastinating and get started. Walk to the tune of Scripture
or your
favorite upbeat music.
And if you
prefer the quiet, walk and meditate with the Most High. Just make sure that you make
time for
your body and soul.
You’ll see and
feel the difference after just two weeks.

THE
52-WEIGHT-LOSS DIET PLAN
Recently, I heard on the news that soon
people will
be spending a dollar out of every five for medical expenses. But if we are healthy, we
don’t have to
fall prey to this reckoning.
As we
grow older, we gain weight.
I am a
witness! And guess
what? We do not need this extra load
we are
carrying. Therefore, I
am doing
something about it.
My friend and I have decided to embark upon
a
Weight-Loss Plan to lose 52 pounds in one year. We have started by promising
to lose one
pound a week. Thus, we
hope to lose
52 pounds by the second week in February 2007. We have already started, but
it’s not
too late for YOU to join with us.
So, hop on board and be a NEW HEALTHIER, LIGHTER WEIGHT this
time next
year!
Some of the things we plan
to do
are:
-limit our intake of
“white”
foods: rice, bread,
potatoes, ice
cream, sugar, etc.
-eliminate fast foods and
processed
foods
-walk at least 3 days a
week
-do not eat after 8 P.M.
– drink
green tea with mint
-eat more fruits and
veggies
-bake rather than fry our
meats
-drink plenty of water and
tea
-weigh in every Tuesday
and E-mail
the other party the new weight status
A weekly journal is kept of weight lost or
gained. And there is no fair or fun
cheating.
If you do not need to lose 52 pounds, then
adjust the
plan to the amount of pounds to lose and time frame appropriate for
you. If you need any help, let me
know.
The Brothers are welcomed to join in the
program. By all means, do feel free to
share your
progress. List your name,
the date
you started and the weight you lose each week, or if you prefer to only
post
periodically, then list the date you started and the amount you
lost. If you have any special
ways to lose
a fast pound here and there, by all means do share.

On my first week, I lost four pounds, and I
could
feel the difference on my walk as I climbed the hills. My husband and I both try to
walk three
days a week for forty-five minutes.
We do about four miles each day.

Not everyone
serves,
worships, and bows down to the CREATOR GOD of Israel as was and still is
HIS
intention. Why? The answer eludes me. How can anyone dismiss the
fact that a
Supreme Existence established The BEGINNING of all this Creation: Heaven and Earth, the sun,
moon, and
stars, land forms, water, fire, animals, mankind and not worship
HIM! The Truth of the matter is
that we must
worship this CREATOR, explicitly because no one else and nothing else
has
replicated HIS Wonders or formed some anew. Under these circumstances, it
would not
be wise to make anything but the CREATOR the ONE True and Living GOD and
honor
the Ways, Paths, and Walks of Life that HE ordained. These Ways of Righteousness
are the
CREATOR's "Old Paths" and HIS "Counsels of Old" that were given to
mankind in
The BEGINNING. And
after The
Flood they were given to GOD's Covenant People, the Nation of

We are all aware
of the
many different peoples who call themselves "Jehovah's Witnesses". But are they the ones with
whom the
CREATOR GOD of Israel made a Covenant, Chose for HIS Holy People, the
ones who
were given the right to show forth HIS Praise and Represent HIM before
the
peoples, nations, and tongues?
Let
THUS SAITH THE LORD respond to this question.
Read and see that
no other
peoples can hope to be called "Jehovah's Witnesses" but the Chosen
Children of

God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto
himself,

keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD

gave the Children of Israel HIS Laws, Statutes, and Judgments for a Way
of Life
and Holy Days that they should observe for HIS Praise, Glory, and
Thanksgiving.

mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law,
and
commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach
them." Exodus

"Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and
spakest
with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws,

statutes and commandments: And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath,

commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy
