Alysa Stanton Becomes First Female Black Rabbi

First African-American Jewish Rabbi To Be Ordained Was Raised in a Pentecostal Family

Growing up in a black, Pentecostal family in Cleveland, Alysa Stanton never imagined the day when she would be preparing to be ordained as a Jewish rabbi.

But that day will come June 6 for the single mother who will be ordained by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, becoming the first African-American female rabbi in the world.

"Ten years ago, if someone said I was going to be a rabbi, I would have laughed," Stanton, 45, told ABCnews.com. "Me, a spiritual leader?"

Soon-to-be rabbi Stanton and her daughter Shana, 14, whom she adopted when she was 14 months old, will move to Greenville, N.C., in August, where Stanton will take her spot behind the pulpit at Congregation Bayt Shalom, which is both conservative and reform.

First Female Black Rabbi

Stanton, a reform Jew, said that her mother encouraged her to explore different religions as a young child and that, at the age of 9, she was already asking her priest to teach her about Kaballah, which focuses on the mystical aspect of Judaism.

Then, at age 10, she received her first Hebrew grammar book from her devout Christian uncle who made it a habit to attend Jewish ceremonies, as well as his own. By her early 20s, Stanton said she'd decided to convert.

"Most people convert because they're marrying or dating someone who is Jewish or for another reason other than just picking that spiritual path," Stanton said.

"I did so because it was the path for me," she said. "Not only from a religious standpoint but from an ethical and social and communal standpoint, it was important to me."

Stanton Garners Mixed Reaction from Jewish Community

Twenty percent of the U.S. Jewish population, or about 1.2 million people, are diverse, meaning black, Asian, Latino or mixed race, according to the Institute for Jewish and Community Outreach in San Francisco.

"What's important here is not that this is the first black woman rabbi but rather that it's a symbol of a great change in the American Jewish community, which is becoming much more diverse because of things like conversions, intermarriage and adoption," said Jonathan Sarna, an expert on U.S. Judaism at Brandeis University in Boston.

"That is a change that is really significant," Sarna said. "That a community that even 50 years ago was rather monolithic, so much so that people thought they could look at someone and see if he 'looked Jewish.'

"This is a reminder that the chosen people, so to speak, is not one race or another race but are in fact a range of races," he said. "While Jews remain united by a bond of peoplehood as well as religion, that bond is not characterized in racial terms."

But the Orthodox Jewish community, which has historically not permitted women to hold leadership roles in its congregations, is less accepting of Stanton's upcoming ordination because of her sex.

"My general feeling, as a rabbi, is that there is a great deal of room for everyone to have spiritual fulfillment in Judaism but the public role of a rabbi is only for certain people and that excludes women," Orthodox Rabbi Gil Student of New York City told ABCNews.com. "That's based on tradition and enshrined in law."

As for race, Student said that neither he nor the Orthodox Jewish community finds any problem with African-American Jews. "There is no such thing as skin color in Judaism, it doesn't exist," Student said.

Shlomah Shamos, the chief editor of the popular New York Orthodox Jewish news site Vosizneias.com, said that as the reform and conservative movements continue to ordain female rabbis, the Orthodox Jewish community is finding it increasingly difficult to associate with them.

Still, he added, "Orthodox Jews have the highest respect for women and they play the most important role – to raise a true Torah Jewish family."

Michael Barondes, the president of the congregation in North Carolina where Stanton will work, said that he was pleasantly surprised that her hiring did not spark any controversy among congregants.

"I'm very proud of my community," Barondes said. "[Stanton's being a woman or being black] never came up in conversation. Obviously, we all know that's unusual but when she got on the pulpit during her visit, it was totally comfortable."

Converting to Judaism

As for Stanton, she said that her family's reaction to her conversion was ultimately positive, despite having a church pianist as a mother and a church choir director as a sister.

"I think at first they thought, 'OK, she's going through a phase of exploration,'" Stanton said.

When her family realized she was serious about Judaism, Stanton said they became "supportive" and "wonderful."

Before studying to become a rabbi, Stanton had a career as a psychotherapist in Denver, Colo., specializing in grief and trauma. A first responder after the Columbine High School shooting in 1999, Stanton said that her experience counseling and communicating will benefit her as the leader of a congregation.

Asked whether she foresees any challenges in becoming the rabbi of a mostly-white congregation, Stanton said that she is not concerned about how her race may affect her career.

"There's an adjustment period for any rabbi when they go to a new congregation," Stanton said. "I am not anticipating that race will be a factor in their adjustment.

"My style and their style of worshipping will be the things we focus on, not the color of our skin."

Stanton still anticipates some challenges in her new position.

"It's difficult paving new ground," she said. "It's difficult being a first of anything, and although I'm honored and in awe that God has given me this responsibility, it's one that I do not take lightly."

First Female Rabbi Offers Advice to First Black Female Rabbi

Rabbi Sally Priesand knows all too well what it's like to be a pioneer in the Jewish faith.

Priesand became the first ordained female rabbi in the United States in 1974, a time when many members of the Jewish community reserved the role of a congregation leader only for men.

"It is hard to be the first," said Priesand, who retired in 2006 from the New Jersey congregation where she worked for 25 years. "I was well aware everyone would judge the concept of female rabbis by what I did."

Priesand said that she spent much of her last year in rabbinical school traveling the country so that people would see that "she was a human like everyone else," a decision she said was important to gaining the trust and respect of her congregants.

"Every time I preached a sermon or officiated a bar or bat mitvah for many people, it was the first time they had ever interacted with a female rabbi," she said. "I knew that when they left that would be their opinion of a female rabbi."

When she was faced with people who believed she was filling a role that would be better suited for a man, Priesand said she learned to listen.

"I had a rule that I would never argue with anyone who thought women shouldn't be rabbis," Priesand said. "I would listen and I would say, 'Thank you so much for your opinion' and I would walk away."

"I don't believe you can really accomplish your goal by arguing, you just have to do it," she said, "and then people judge you for who you are as a person."

Asked what advice she'd give Stanton, whom she plans to see ordained next month in Ohio, Priesand said, "Be yourself."

"When you're the first of something, there's a lot of notoriety that goes a long with that and it's easy to lose your focus along the way," she said.

"When I was ordained, everyone thought that they knew what I should do and how I should dress and how I should be and I'm rather proud of the fact that I've always been able to be myself," she said. "You cannot please everyone and so you have to be true to your own standards."

Tribute to the New Moon Revised:

The service of this solar/lunar calendar of TORAH READINGS is by definition using the “LIGHTS” of the sun and moon, according to Genesis 1:14, to number the “days” of each month. And the dark phases of the moon cooperatively and conveniently provide a break between the months. If there were no dark phases of the moon, we would have a tough time determining when one month ended and when another would begin. Hence, because the Commandment is to use the “Lights” in the Heavens for “Signs” for seasons, days, and years, the New Moon Crescent is what provides us with our first lights of each new month and these lights continue waxing and waning until they are diminished to the dark phases. And then in two to three days, the New Moon Crescent reappears again starting the First Day of another new month.

Realizing that even some Israelites use the dark phase of the moon to call the new month, I would like to add one obvious fact. By definition, there can only be a “New Moon,” per se, after the dark phase interval and when the New Moon Crescent reappears, thus, we understand the concept of having a “New” moon.

If the dark phase of the moon begins the First Day of the month, then when the New Moon Crescent is “Sighted” that could approximately be as far into the month as the Fourth Day, i.e., the appearance of the “Light” in the Heavens could possibly fall on the Fourth Day. It makes no sense to start to count the first dark phase of the moon as being the First Day of the month, as this process disregards the use of the “Light” in the Heavens to determine our “days,” as we are Commanded to do in Genesis 1:14. Consider what King David said in I Samuel 20:24: “…when the New Moon was come…” He had to be speaking about the New Moon Crescent, as we are unable to “Sight” the appearance of the dark phase or rather see it “come.”

It’s the absence of seeing the moon for forty-eight or more hours that enables us to identify the approaching Crescent “Sign” in the Heavens (mentioned in Genesis 1:14) that recognizes the moon as being “New.” And upon “Sighting” this “New” Crescent” we distinguish it as being the “New Moon” and the time of the New Month, as well.

PLEASE NOTE: The Hebrew New Year is also determined by the “LIGHTS” in the Heavens and not by the “sighting of barley,” as some Black Hebrew Israelites and European “Jews” advocate.

“For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make,

shall remain before me, saith the LORD,

so shall your seed and your name remain.

“And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another,

and from one abbath to another,

shall all flesh come to worship before me,

saith the LORD.”

The first “Sign” in the Heavens to provide the start of days, years and “seasons” can only begin with the “Sighting” of the New Moon Crescent – that which we can “see” in order for it to serve as a “Sign” and enable us to begin counting our days and months. Just imagine not being able to “see” the moon at all. How then could it be appointed for a “Sign” or for “seasons”?

“The natural thought might be that the moon is like a living being. It is born, grows, reaches maximum size, then fades and dies, going through all these stages in one month. Even today, we still talk of the thin crescent in the western sky as a new moon and the thin crescent in the eastern sky a month later as the old moon. Half way between is the full moon. As I explained earlier, this cycle of phases of the moon established the month as a unit of time, and the first calendars were based on this.” ISAAC ASIMOV’S GUIDE TO EARTH AND SPACE, pages 79 and 80

In that the King of Israel is supposed to be a “Righteous Judge” (II Chronicles 1:11), it stands to reason that he is also supposed to be a “Righteous Role Model.” Thus, if the King that GOD appoints over Israel observes a “feast” on the day of the New Moon, then wisdom tells the Nation of Israel to do likewise. King Saul and the anointed David observed this service (I Samuel 20^th Chapter).

To their and our hurt our forefathers worshipped all manner of symbols: the sun, moon, stars, and images of gold and silver. To observe the “Sign” in the heavens as being the New Moon “Sighting” is NOT worshipping the moon, but rather it is doing as we are COMMANDED in Genesis 1:14:

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:”

Some people feel that the moon has no “light,” but according to GOD’s WORD to HIS Prophets, it most certainly does: Isaiah 13:10; Isaiah 30:26; Jeremiah 31:35; Ezekiel 32:7.

“Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

“Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed,

on our solemn feast day.

“For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.”

Psalm 81:1 – 4

one who should be well informed about GOD’s Ways)

“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings,

and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.”

Numbers 10:10

Contrary to the belief of some Israelites, the moon does indeed shine! Even if the Moon shines with the aid of the sun, i.e., reflects the light of the sun, IT STILL SHINES! And the fact that Scripture attests to this fact, is what’s important: Isaiah 60:19; Jeremiah 31:35; and Ezekiel 32:7. Therefore, Genesis 1:14 is proof enough that we must use the shining New Moon Crescents as “…SIGNS, AND FOR SEASONS, AND FOR DAYS, AND FOR YEARS:”

Some Israelites, along with White Jews, use the dark phase of the moon to determine the start of a new month. If the dark phase of the moon lasts for “2-3 days,” then which of these days is supposed to be the distinguishing “Sign” that determines the First Day of the month? Or do we just arbitrarily select either/or depending on the imaginations of our hearts?

On the contrary, with the use of the sighted “Sign” of the New Moon Crescent in the Heavens we eliminate any confusion as to which day IS the First Day of the month.

“So David hid himself in the field: and WHEN THE NEW MOON WAS COME, the king sat him down to eat meat.” I Samuel 20:24

At the time of the dark phases of the moon (generally 2-3 days), as previously written, there is no “moon” in SIGHT. Therefore, I Samuel 20:24 sheds more light on Genesis 1:14. “WHEN THE NEW MOON WAS COME,” is clearly telling readers that this is a reference to a visible “Moon Crescent Sighting” - the light in the firmament…i.e., the “Sign” for (lunar) days. Thus, if we are to count all the lunar days (29.5) in a month, it only makes sense to start counting from the New Moon Crescent “when the New Moon was come” and NOT from the dark phases at the end of the month, which do not emit any “sign” or “light” in the heavens.

The only problem that presents itself when using the “New Moon Sighting” to call the First Day of the month is cloud coverage, as this prevents the ability to see the New Moon Crescent. Nonetheless, when “Sighted,” one can easily distinguish the New Moon Crescent from all the other phases due to its thin sliver and its low position in the heavens. And the reason is that no two days or rather phases of the visible moon are alike. Hence, to use the New Moon Crescent as the “Sign” in the heavens, as we are COMMANDED to do for our seasons, days, and years, negates the belief that the “commandment was given to the luminaries.” The “luminaries” fulfill GOD’s Commandments: the sun shines and the moon orbits the Earth. They have no need to determine seasons, days, and years. Hence, our New Moons are obviously of more spiritual significance to the Nation of Israel than we are aware. And for sure, the TRUTH concerning them are in GOD’s WORD to HIS Prophets/Seers – not the White Jews or other Gentiles. All we need do is use wisdom, discern what’s written in Scripture, accept it, and act accordingly!

“Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,

“Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the abbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.” II Chronicles 8:12,13

Unless there is an emergency, please try not to buy or sell on this day. Conduct all financial and business transactions prior to the day of the New Moon. Interesting enough, II Kings 4:23,24 constitutes the New Moon as being a day to seek “the man of God.” Although the New Moon is NOT a Day of Rest, Our GOD did set it aside for recognition:

“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.” Psalm 81:3

“And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 66:23

“…When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn?…” Amos 8:5

Probably, the Scripture that most determines and clarifies the fact that our New Moons are Feast Days is Ezekiel 45:17:

“And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the Sabbaths, in ALL SOLEMNITIES of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the HOUSE OF ISRAEL.” (Caps. are mine.)

Unequivocally, our New Moons are included in these “SOLEMNITIES” mentioned in Ezekiel 45:17.

“Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the Sabbaths [Feasts – NOT 7^th Day Sabbaths*] and in the NEW MOONS.” Ezekiel 46:3 (Brackets are mine.)

Thereby, this verse justifies the First Day of each month being our “Feast” Day. It should be realized that the Feast Days that Our GOD selected (Leviticus 23^rd Chapter) are “Holy Convocations,” i.e., on these days we cannot do any work. However, because King Saul observed the New Moon as a Feast Day, we have every reason to do so, as well. We also have learned that our forefathers traveled to the Temple to worship the Holy ONE on the New Moon (II Kings 4:23; Ezekiel 45:17; and Ezekiel 46:1), and when HE has HIS Temple rebuilt, then we will again be able to resume this service and worship.

When we return to our heritage and worship YIHOVAH according to HIS Ways, then we can establish our own “Calendar of the Universe,” whereby, the days of the New Moon and all GOD’s Holy Days will be recognized by the whole entire World. And I am sure that it will be the desire of the Righteous Remnant and ALL the world to make a Feast to the Most High GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel every First Day of the Month.

ALSO, I believe that if Lot (Genesis 19:3) and Abraham (Genesis 21:8) can proclaim “Feasts,” then there is no stipulation for NOT establishing Feast Days, as we so desire. Therefore, to proclaim a feast to EXALT the Holy ONE of Israel on the First Day of each month is quite acceptable – given the Scripture (above) regarding worshipping Our LORD GOD of ISRAEL, Our SAVIOR, on the New Moons. We should know that throughout the Tanakh Hebrew Israelites called for “feasts” for various occasions. Therefore, we are within our rights to observe a Feast every New Moon to Our GOD, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel. And those of us who love this WONDERFUL GOD and who choose HIM to EXALT HIM for being the ONLY LORD and SAVIOR can be at liberty to use the day of the New Moon to show forth HIS PRAISE in a “feast” and worship HIM in Jerusalem FOREVER.

“And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and [he] made a feast to all his servants.”

I Kings 3:15

A Tribute to GOD’s “HOLY” Seventh Day Sabbath of Complete REST – HIS WEEKLY ANNIVERSARY OBSERVANCE and SIGN between HIM and Israelites for HIS CREATION of the Heavens and the Earth:

“Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the abbath,

to observe the abbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever:

for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth,

and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.”

Exodus 31:17,18

Since we know for a fact that GOD’s Holy Seventh Day Sabbath is a “Sign” between HIM and Israel, why take any chance to profane it? Every passage about the Holy Sabbath of COMPLETE Rest stands strong in support of GOD’s Commandment to abide in our places on the Seventh Day (Exodus 16:29) – ever last one of them – including the passage in Jeremiah where we are Commanded to “Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;” Jeremiah 17:21 (Please read verses 21 to 27.)

Perhaps the wise thing to do would be to define the word “burden.” But more importantly, we need to determine whether or not Exodus 16:29 is a Commandment or not. And if it is determined to be one, then we should Fear the GOD of Israel and be obedient to what HE has Commanded of us.

“But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power

and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship,

and to him shall ye do sacrifice. And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law,

and the commandment, which he wrote for you,

he shall observe to do for ever more;

and ye shall not fear other gods.”

II Kings 17:36,37

Why must we debate that which is clearly written for us to do and for very good reason, if we will only consider and think about it? The Holy ONE wants us to be first to observe HIS weekly Anniversary of Creation, which is to keep HIS Holy Seventh day at REST, as HE did, in order that we might be REFRESHED!

“REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY”

Exodus 20:8

“See, for that the LORD hath given you the abbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” Exodus 16:29

“And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.

“Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a abbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.” Exodus 35:1,2

“Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the abbath of rest, an holy convocation [“HOLY DAY”]; ye shall do no work therein: it is the abbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.” Leviticus 23:3

“Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the abbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the abbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the abbath, to observe the abbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. Significantly, in the beginning when the Holy ONE of Israel established this Sabbath Day of COMPLETE REST and when HE clearly COMMANDED the Children of Israel in the Wilderness to observe this Holy Day, HE MADE NO EXCEPTIONS!

If “ALL” GOD’s COMMANDMENTS are sure, then for sure, we must give credence to Exodus 16:29 and abide in our places on GOD’s HOLY Seventh Day of Complete REST as we are COMMANDED TO DO!

“He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.” Psalm 111:7

GOD’s Holy Seventh Day Sabbath of REST is not only one of HIS Greatest WORKS of all time, but this Holy Day is an extraordinary “SIGN” between this Most High GOD, the CREATOR and HIS Chosen People, the Children of Israel! This Seventh Day also marks the Anniversary of GOD ending the Creations of the Heavens, Earth, man, and all that is therein.

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Genesis 2:1 – 3

“And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy abbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake today, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

“See, for that the LORD hath given you the abbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” Exodus 16:23,29

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.” Exodus 24:12

“Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should DO SO IN THE LAND whither ye go to possess it.” Deuteronomy 4:5 (Caps. are mine.)

CONSIDER ALSO the fact that the CREATOR GOD of Israel only Commanded that we go to Jerusalem “THREE TIMES in the year”. Had the Holy ONE wanted us to travel to Jerusalem on HIS Holy Sabbath Day of COMPLETE REST, HE would have Commanded that, as well. Thus, given Exodus 16:29, we have to realize, understand, and accept the fact that it was never HIS intention for us to travel and/or leave our places on HIS most Holy Seventh Day.

“Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me emptyJ And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field. Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.” Exodus 23:14 – 17

“Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast” Deuteronomy 16:16

There is no Scripture indicating that Israelites traveled to Jerusalem on GOD’s HALLOWED SEVENTH DAY.

THE PLACE THAT OUR GOD OF ISRAEL CHOSE IS THE HOLY CITY JERUSALEM.

The Israelite Way of Life was set in stone in the Wilderness, as to how we are Commanded to prepare to live according to ALL GOD’s LAW, as well as for HIS Holy Seventh Day Sabbath of Complete REST, i.e., how we are supposed to keep it, as well as the consequences for profaning it. And there are no exceptions.

CONCERNING “HOLY CONVOCATION”

The issue stemming from the meaning of “Holy Convocation” written in Leviticus 23^rd Chapter is real, and the interpretation is grossly misunderstood. “Holy Convocation” does not mean “To Gather.” And the sin committed by traveling and gathering on the CREATOR’s Holy Sabbath of Complete REST has grave consequences (Exodus 31:12 – 18).

Conclusive evidence that “holy convocation” DOES NOT mean to assemble is provided in the passage on Passover. In Exodus 12:16 we are told that Passover is a “holy convocation” but yet, we are Commanded to observe this High Holy Day with our immediate families and only to join with another family if one’s members are too few for the lamb (Exodus 12:4). This proves without a doubt that “holy convocation” cannot mean to assemble, but rather to keep the holy days “HOLY.” Some call attention to the fact that because Israelites were Commanded to ”…turn in the morning and go into their tents” (Deuteronomy 16:5-7) that this is proof of an assembly. Those Israelite families that joined with others are the ones GOD Commanded to return to their tents.

The Holy ONE of Israel DOES NOT contradict HIMSELF! HE would not COMMAND us to “Rest” on the Sabbath Day of Rest and also Command us to “abide ye every man in your place on the seventh day,” and then confuse us by telling us to “assemble” on the “rest of the holy abbath unto the LORD.” This would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Therefore, if the Holy ONE of Israel said don’t bear a burden on the Sabbath Day of Rest (Jeremiah 17:21,22) and that our asses (used for travel) had to also rest, then for sure we have to “abide in our places…on the seventh day.” Thus, using our cars and paying tolls and public transportation on GOD’s Holy Seventh Day of Rest is absolutely forbidden! And walking to the Temple or to any meeting place was and still is out of the question all because GOD’s Seventh Day is specifically to be kept as a DAY of “COMPLETE REST” – Shabatone (as is written in Hebrew).

The wise, obedient ones understand the great importance of observing this Seventh Day of Rest exactly as GOD Commanded and will not add to or diminish from this Law of the “Blessed,” “Sanctified,” and “Holy” Seventh Day Sabbath.

“…we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”

QUESTIONS ON “OLD TESTAMENT” BIBLE TRIVIA TO PONDER:

“But the seventh day is the SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

“And remember that thou wast a SERVANT in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.” Deuteronomy 5:14,15

Why is it so important that Israelites not be joined with others who are NOT TORAH Based, i.e., people who do not live by GOD’s Book of the Law?

While Moses, GOD’s Prophet and Servant, was upon the Mount talking with the Holy ONE of Israel, GOD told him to get back down to the Israelites because they had corrupted themselves with a golden calf, saying that it had brought them out of Egypt.

Moses returned from the Mount and asked the Israelites: “Who is on the LORD’s side?” What is the significance of what HE had asked them?

Moses was talking about the Laws, Statutes, and Judgments that the GOD of Israel had given them to live and do. Without living by GOD’s Book of the Law that is REQUIRED of Israelites and without altering it, there is no way we could be “on the LORD’s Side.

If the Israelites can have GOD’s Deliverance so fresh in their minds and still build a golden calf and LIE and say that it was what brought them out of Egypt, how much more can Israelites be enticed by X-tians and Messianics who believe in JC?

As wise as was King Solomon, he let his idol worshipping wives turn his heart from the Holy ONE of Israel. How can we forget this and still choose to be joined with people who believe in false gods?

Another instance in the Hebrew Scriptures is concerning Jehoshaphat and Ahaziah (II Chronicles 20:35 - 37). The GOD of Israel was angry at Jehoshaphat all because he joined with Ahaziah who worshipped a false god (I Kings 22:53).

Consider how successful Ben Ammi has been to entice people to call him “lord and saviour”. In our day, we have perfect examples as to why we should not have Messianics as leaders and why they should not be joined unto us, that is, if we want to be “On the LORD’s Side”.

I will never forget the time I was visiting with a group of Israelites when one of the Elders presented prayers for the food we were about to eat. At the end, he said “in the name of JC”. As I shared with some other Israelites in Paltalk over a week ago, I, at first, was so shocked that I almost fainted, then I became frightened that the Holy ONE would punish me, after that, I became very angry that this Elder had done this to me. I neither ate nor drank anything in that house. And unless one’s absolute hope, trust, and Fear is in the GOD of Israel, one cannot understand what I went through that day and how much it still effected me even the days that followed.

“O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.” Isaiah 26:13

Let us be joined with those who make mention of the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and who Magnify, serve, and worship ONLY HIM and HIS Holy Name.

The GOD of Israel separated Israelites from others with different ideals for good reason, so that we will not be influenced or enticed to follow after false customs and false gods. Are we not going against HIS Efforts (in Jeremiah 31:31-34) to put HIS LAW in our hearts when we do things that jeopardize our connection with HIM and HIS Righteous Way of Life?

Remember, Israelites from the SEED of Jacob unto those who live this day are prone to taking the wrong paths. Why take chances when we know the history of our great sins against the Holy ONE of Israel and when we can yet see the false worship around us?

Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.

“Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.” Isaiah 1:9

There are but two things we should have in our hearts to do, and they are to fulfill Deuteronomy 30^th Chapter and Isaiah 11:11.

EATING FRUIT

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think.
It's important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! - FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON
AN EMPTY STOMACH.
If you eat fruit on an empty stomach, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.


FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD - Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit.
The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.
The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.


So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining - every time I eat water-melon I burp, when I eat durian (fruit from Asia with a foul smell yet delicious flavor) my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet etc... - actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach.
The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will not happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr.

If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up.
Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all.
You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.
If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.

THE HERB BURDOCK

Burdock (Arctium lappa ([Latin]), also known as burr, is a common weed known for the distinctive prickly burrs it produces, which seem to get caught in just about everything. It is found throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

It is the root of the burdock plant that is most often used in herbal supplements. Fresh burdock roots contain polyacetylenes, which are phytochemicals that kill some types of bacteria and fungi—burdock has been used to treat both bacterial and fungal infections, including ringworm, urinary tract infections, and acne. It’s antibacterial effects may also promote wound healing and help treat ulcers.

Burdock works as both a decongestant and diuretic in the body, and may cause sweating. Traditional Chinese and Indian Ayurvedic medicine uses burdock to treat congestion and fever caused by colds, flu, and pneumonia. Today’s herbalists recommend burdock to help eliminate toxins from all parts of the body, including the blood, liver, lymphatic system, kidneys and gallbladder.

Burdock is being studied for its potential as a treatment for cancer. It has a long history of usage for treating this disease-- Hildegard of Bingen, a well known medieval herbalist, often used burdock for treatment of cancerous tumors. Recent studies have shown that arctigenin, a chemical in burdock, does in fact slow tumor growth. Burdock is an active ingredient in the popular natural remedies for cancer, including Essiac and Hoxsey. Of course, cancer is a serious and potentially life-threatening disease, for which you absolutely must be under a doctor’s care. However, you may want to speak to your doctor about augmenting your cancer therapy with an herbal treatment.

Burdock may help treat diabetes by reducing blood sugar—in one study burdock root reduced blood sugar levels and improved carbohydrate tolerance in lab rats. In another laboratory study, burdock protected animals that consumed the root from the toxic effects of several poisonous chemicals. Burdock stalks taste a little like celery, but the leaves are rather bitter like dandelion greens. The plant’s roots are considered vegetables in Japan, and are commonly found in stores and markets that offer Asian produce. Burdock is abundant in the wild; you can gather your own and cook and eat the roots and leaves. However, if you’re gathering your own burdock, be careful—it looks a bit like belladonna, a plant that can be fatally toxic if ingested. Safe and effective burdock capsules or liquid root extract (Bur oil), are also available at most pharmacies and health food stores. The burdock extract has long been used in Europe to treat dandruff and encourage healthy hair growth. It you want to use burdock to improve the condition of your hair, simply massage burdock root oil into your scalp.

Burdock is generally safe, but some people should be cautious when taking this herb, especially those with abnormal blood sugar levels. Pregnant women also should not use this burdock, as it is said to cause uterine contractions.

REGARDING OTHER MATTERS OF HEALTH AND EXERCISE…

As always, before starting ANY exercise program and/or diet, check with your doctor and get his approval. This is all about being safe rather than sorry.

And if you feel you are suffering from depression, do know that there are medications available for you. Don’t be embarrassed; this malady goes with the RAT RACE. Therefore, see your doctor, and feel better fast!

Have you started that “Walking” for weight loss and healthy heart routine, yet? There is no excuse for not going it alone, joining with someone, or even forming a group to take that walk at least five (5) times a week and for 40 minutes minimum. So, stop procrastinating and get started. Walk to the tune of Scripture or your favorite upbeat music. And if you prefer the quiet, walk and meditate with the Most High. Just make sure that you make time for your body and soul. You’ll see and feel the difference after just two weeks.

THE 52-WEIGHT-LOSS DIET PLAN

Recently, I heard on the news that soon people will be spending a dollar out of every five for medical expenses. But if we are healthy, we don’t have to fall prey to this reckoning. As we grow older, we gain weight. I am a witness! And guess what? We do not need this extra load we are carrying. Therefore, I am doing something about it.

My friend and I have decided to embark upon a Weight-Loss Plan to lose 52 pounds in one year. We have started by promising to lose one pound a week. Thus, we hope to lose 52 pounds by the second week in February 2007. We have already started, but it’s not too late for YOU to join with us. So, hop on board and be a NEW HEALTHIER, LIGHTER WEIGHT this time next year!

Some of the things we plan to do are:

-limit our intake of “white” foods: rice, bread, potatoes, ice cream, sugar, etc.

-eliminate fast foods and processed foods

-walk at least 3 days a week

-do not eat after 8 P.M. – drink green tea with mint

-eat more fruits and veggies

-bake rather than fry our meats

-drink plenty of water and tea

-weigh in every Tuesday and E-mail the other party the new weight status

A weekly journal is kept of weight lost or gained. And there is no fair or fun cheating.

If you do not need to lose 52 pounds, then adjust the plan to the amount of pounds to lose and time frame appropriate for you. If you need any help, let me know.

The Brothers are welcomed to join in the program. By all means, do feel free to share your progress. List your name, the date you started and the weight you lose each week, or if you prefer to only post periodically, then list the date you started and the amount you lost. If you have any special ways to lose a fast pound here and there, by all means do share.

On my first week, I lost four pounds, and I could feel the difference on my walk as I climbed the hills. My husband and I both try to walk three days a week for forty-five minutes. We do about four miles each day.

THE GREATEST “SPOIL” OF ALL

The Israelites received Reparations for their free labor when they left out of Egypt (Exodus 12:35,36, Psalm 105:37). Note also that Reparations were given to Ezra for the building of GOD’s Temple and for the service of the House of the LORD GOD of Israel (Ezra 7:12 –21). And it is prophesied that we will again receive compensation for our free labor and bondage in this modern-day Egypt (all the lands that took Israelites captive):

WHO ARE THE DRY BONES

SPOKEN OF IN EZEKIEL 37^TH CHAPTER?

“…Son of man, can these bones live?

And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Again he sa id unto me, Prophesy upon these bones,

and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.”

Ezekiel 37:3,4

We speak and sing about the “Dry Bones” all the time, but do we really know the significance of this Biblical Chapter in Ezekiel that so inspires us even to create song after song about a skeleton?

The “Dry Bones” are not at all about dangling bones or bones sprawled all over the ground and connecting together: skull to neck, shoulders to arms, feet to legs, legs to thighs, or thighs to pelvis. This chapter is about people in gross DARKNESS coming to the light of GOD’s Truth. It is about the CREATOR GOD of Israel Sanctifying HIS Great Name and making the world know that HE ALONE is the True and Living GOD. It is about the GOD of Israel AGAIN breathing life into HIS people, bringing them out of the Hell on this Earth, putting HIS Righteous Spirit within them, and placing them in their own Land.

“Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.” Ezekiel 37:5,6

“Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,” And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.” Ezekiel 37:12 - 14

What could be more beautiful than this? Is not having this wisdom better than anything the church (or any other religion) can offer or has offered? GOD’s Covenant People, the Children of Israel were divided into two nations - the House of Israel and the House of Judah – after King Solomon lost his direction and started worshipping false gods. That gross abomination opened “Pandora’s Box” for the Twelve Tribes of Jacob, as from that time forward, Israelites committed every sin imaginable against the Holy ONE of Israel. And consequently, HE caused the desolations of the Land of Israel and of HIS Covenant People and scattered our forefathers into the “Four Corners of the Earth”. HE also enabled the heathen to occupy GOD’s Holy Land, even as it is to this day. However, because the GOD of Israel is a Merciful and Loving GOD, HE is willing to forgive us when we acknowledge our sins and turn back to HIM.

“I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.” Psalm 32:5

“And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people. For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart. I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.” Isaiah 57:14 - 21

“We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.” Jeremiah 14:20

Let us rejoice and be glad at Our GOD’s WORD to cleanse us from our transgression and the defilement of our lives in the lands of the heathen and most of all from the worship of false gods and partaking in all manner of detestable transgressions that HE surely would not deem virtuous. This CREATOR GOD of Israel will again make the Nation of Israel HIS Covenant People.

“Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 37:23

HE will also keep HIS promises HE made to King David that his Seed will reign forever on the throne in Jerusalem.

“And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.” Ezekiel 37:24,25

“My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Ezekiel 37:27

And the heathen, yes, those who choose to live according to the ways they have designed and not by GOD’s Ways, those who will be left shall know that it is the Most High GOD that does all these things.

“And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.” Ezekiel 37:28

Where in these verses is there any suggestion that JC is included in GOD’s Plan for HIS Covenant People, the Nation of Israel? Have not Christians been kept in the dark? Has not JC been a phantom with believers in him deluding themselves that he has saved them, when in fact he has done nothing.

People struggle these days like never before: they are losing their jobs to the tune of thousands almost every day, murder and other crimes are on the rise, greed, lust, and deception are all the order of the day. Regardless of what people say in favor of JC, they have no tangible evidence that he has helped them. They only wish for a reason to trust and believe in him, but in Truth, there is none! And they know it, for with belief in him, they have no peace of mind, no salvation, no rest! They remain in troubled waters and oppression and despair just like everyone else living in this sinful world.

Belief in this man-god, JC, is exactly why the CREATOR GOD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. We don’t know all the lamentable details concerning the great sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, but what we do know is that the CREATOR GOD of Israel compared HIS abominable Covenant People to these two places.

What difference is there in the world we live in today and in the days before the Flood and in the days before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? Okay, let’s consider the Flood and why the CREATOR destroyed all human beings except Noah’s family. Consider the number of people who existed on Earth at that time and during the days Sodom and Gomorrah survived - only a drop in the bucket in comparison to the billions of people who live today. Consider the sin, evil, and wickedness of the days we now live in. Given there are approximately 6.4 billion human beings in the world, of a truth, people are worse, a million times over. Consider the weapons of mass destruction, sex crimes, divide and conquer, the illegal drugs, alcohol abuse, murder, disease, the false gods and false worship, the familiar spirits, and the rebellion against the All-Mighty CREATOR GOD just because HE kept HIS WORD not to destroy all peoples on the Earth again with a Flood. HE decided to let mankind destroy himself, and mankind has done a superb job of it. Not a day goes by that hundreds of people in the United States alone don’t die! Some put the number of people who die in a year in the US at 2.5 million. When you think about these statistics, it can really be frightening.

Consider how this information gives us a pretty grim picture of the evil and wicked people of this world, as it is today.

“Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.” Isaiah 1:9

“And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err. I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.” Jeremiah 23:13 – 16

“For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.” Lamentations 4:6

“I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.” Amos 4:11

Well now, this is exactly what we must be about, which is RETURNING to the True and Living GOD of Israel, all because it is ONLY from HIM that proceeds our HELP and Deliverance!

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 41:10 – 14

“Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen: Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. One shall say, I am the LORD'S; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.” Isaiah 44:1 – 5

“Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted. Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.” Isaiah 49:8 - 13

So, if we know why the CREATOR GOD suffered HIS Covenant People to go into captivity and enslavement and lose their identity and cause the destruction of Jerusalem, HIS Holy City, and HIS Holy Land, doesn’t it make sense for us to come to terms with serving and worshipping ONLY this Great GOD of Abraham and Moses, so that HE may end our pain and suffering, our unhappiness and tears and save us from all the evil and wickedness that thrives on this Earth? Isn’t it finally time for the “Dry Bones” to “LIVE”?!

“The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.” Ezekiel 37:1 – 4

That seems so simple. “HEAR the WORD of the LORD.” Why would people who seek to live Righteously find this so complicated? “HEAR the WORD of the LORD.”

We can do this. What’s so hard about HEARING THE WORD OF THE LORD to DO IT? Since we know that the people of Sodom and Gomorrah were utterly destroyed and Israelites of the Land of Israel were cast out of the Land to serve the worst of the heathen because of their transgressions against the CREATOR GOD, then why must we also fall and lose our lives? We don’t have to. We can seek the Divine LAW of the GOD of Moses and learn to do what’s Lawful and Right. This positive attitude is our ticket out of Hell and into GOD’s Peace and Happiness!

“If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near; Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name: Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause, And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:” I Kings 8:46 – 50

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them,

and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD;

Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel:

behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD;

Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.”

Ezekiel 37:7 – 12

“Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph,

which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows,

and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick,

and they shall be one in mine hand.

And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD;

Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel;

and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations,

neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:”

Ezekiel 37:19 - 22

LET THE DRY BONES LIVE!

Let the Dry Bones live and return to their place for GOD’s Holy Name’s Sake. Let the Holy ONE of Israel call attention to HIMSELF and cause people the world over to turn to HIS Ways of Righteousness. And let the CREATOR GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob return to HIS Place among HIS People in HIS Holy City Jerusalem, wherein, the Priests, Zadok, will again minister before HIM and teach HIS People Righteousness.

“So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court;

and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.

And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.

And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne,

and the place of the soles of my feet,

where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever,

and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they,

nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings

in their high places. In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds,

and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them,

they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger. Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me,

and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.”

Ezekiel 43:5 – 9

“And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray,

which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.

Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house,

and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering

and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.”

Ezekiel 44:10,11

“But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof,

and for all that shall be done therein.

But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok,

that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me,

and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD: They shall enter into my sanctuary,

and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me,

and they shall keep my charge.”

Ezekiel 44:14 – 16

“And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane,

and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

And in controversy they shall stand in judgment;

and they shall judge it according to my judgments:

and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies;

and they shall hallow my sabbaths.”

Ezekiel 44:23,24

“For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering;

and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them,

that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God;

for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,

he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud,

and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth;

so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise

to spring forth before all the nations.”

Isaiah 61:8 –11

“And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen,

which ye have profaned in the midst of them;

and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD,

when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries,

and will bring you into your own land.

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean:

from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:

and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes,

and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people,

and I will be your God.”

Ezekiel 36:23 - 28
