We’re all familiar with the saying that is the subject of this piece.  In some small way each of us can relate to the meaning behind this saying personally.  Why then should it be any different for the good ole’ US of A. 

 

The United States, the only superpower in the world, has taken it upon itself to free the Iraqi people from under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein.  At first, the US was telling the UN and the rest of the World that the mission in Iraq was to rid the world of the threat of “weapons of mass destruction”.

 

Needless to say the US has not found “weapons of mass destruction” anywhere in Iraq. In addition, they have not found Saddam Hussein, or Osama bin Laden.  Question: Are “we the people” of this country getting our money’s worth out of the Bush Administration?

 

If, “What Goes Around Comes Around” is true……….Who is going to liberate and free the Nation of Yisrael, held in this country against our will?  Who is going to destroy the “weapons of mass destruction” of the US, Britain and that illegitimate nation called Israel?      Who is going to make the US government stop wasting my money looking for lost Arabian Leaders and nonexistent weapon systems in Islamic countries?

The first “Sign” in the Heavens to provide the start of days, years and “seasons” can only begin with the “Sighting” of the New Moon Crescent - that which we can “see” in order for it to serve as a “Sign” and enable us to begin counting our days.   Just imagine not being able to “see” the moon at all.  How then could it be appointed for seasons?

 

“The natural thought might be that the moon is like a living being.  It is born, grows, reaches maximum size, then fades and dies, going through all these stages in one month.  Even today, we still talk of the thin crescent in the western sky as a new moon and the thin crescent in the eastern sky a month later as the old moon.  Half way between is the full moon.  As I explained earlier, this cycle of phases of the moon established the month as a unit of time, and the first calendars were based on this.”   ISAAC ASIMOV’S GUIDE TO EARTH AND SPACE, pages 79 and 80

 

In that the King of Israel is supposed to be a “Righteous Judge” (II Chronicles 1:11), it stands to reason that he is also supposed to be a “Righteous Role Model.”  Thus, if the King that GOD appoints over Israel observes a “feast” on the day of the New Moon, then wisdom tells the Nation of Israel to do likewise.  King Saul and the anointed David observed this service (I Samuel 20th Chapter).

 

To their and our hurt our forefathers worshipped all manner of symbols:  the sun, moon, stars, and images of gold and silver.  To observe the “Sign” in the heavens as being the New Moon “Sighting” is NOT worshipping the moon, but rather it is doing as we are COMMANDED in Genesis 1:14:

 

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:”

 

Some people feel that the moon has no “light,” but according to GOD’s WORD to HIS Prophets, it most certainly does:  Isaiah 13:10; Isaiah 30:26; Jeremiah 31:35; Ezekiel 32:7.

Contrary to the belief of some Israelites, the moon does indeed shine!  Whether the Moon shines on its own or with the aid of the sun, IT STILL SHINES!  And the fact that Scripture attests to this fact, is what’s important:  Isaiah 60:19; Jeremiah 31:35; and Ezekiel 32:7.  Therefore, Genesis 1:14 is proof enough that we must use the shining New Moon Crescents as “…SIGNS, AND FOR SEASONS, AND FOR DAYS, AND FOR YEARS:”  

 

Some Israelites, along with White Jews, use the dark phase of the moon to determine the start of a new month.  If the dark phase of the moon lasts for “2-3 days,” then which of these days is supposed to be the distinguishing “Sign” that determines the First Day of the month?  Or do we just arbitrarily select either or depending on the imaginations of our hearts?   On the contrary, with the use of the sighted “Sign” of the New Moon Crescent in the Heavens we eliminate any confusion as to which day IS the First Day of the month.  The only problem that presents itself is cloud coverage that prevents the ability to see the New Moon Crescent.   Nonetheless, one can easily distinguish the New Moon Crescent “Sighting” from all the other phases due to its thin sliver and its low position in the heavens, and the reason is that no two days or rather phases of the visible moon are alike.  Thus, to use the New Moon Crescent as the “Sign” in the heavens, as we are COMMANDED to do for our seasons, days, and years, negates the belief that the “commandment was given to the luminaries.”  The “luminaries” fulfill GOD’s Commandments:  the sun shines and the moon orbits the Earth.  They have no need to determine seasons, days, and years.  Hence, our New Moons are obviously of more spiritual significance to the Nation of Israel than we are aware.  And for sure, the TRUTH concerning them are in GOD’s WORD to HIS Prophets/Seers - not the White Jews or other Gentiles.  All we need do is use wisdom, discern what’s written in Scripture, accept it, and act accordingly!

 

Unless there is an emergency, please try not to buy or sell on this day.  Conduct all financial and business transactions prior to the day of the New Moon.  Interesting enough, II Kings 4:23,24 constitutes the New Moon as being a day to seek “the man of God.”  Although the New Moon is NOT a Day of Rest, Our GOD did set it aside for recognition:

 

“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.”   Psalm 81:3

 

“And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.”   Isaiah 66:23

 

“…When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn?…”   Amos 8:5

 

Probably, the Scripture that most determines and clarifies the fact that our New Moons are Feast Days is Ezekiel 45:17:

 

“And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the Sabbaths, in ALL SOLEMNITIES of the house of Israel:  he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the HOUSE OF ISRAEL.”   (Caps. are mine.)

 

Unequivocally, our New Moons are included in these “SOLEMNITIES” mentioned in Ezekiel 45:17.

 

“Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the Sabbaths [Feasts – NOT 7th Day Sabbaths*] and in the NEW MOONS.”   Ezekiel 46:3   (Brackets are mine.)

 

Thereby, this verse justifies the First Day of each month being our “Feast” Day.  It should be realized that the Feast Days that Our GOD selected (Leviticus 23rd Chapter) are “Holy Convocations,” i.e., on these days we cannot do any work.  However, because King Saul observed the New Moon as a Feast Day, we have every reason to do so, as well.   We also have learned that our forefathers traveled to the Temple to worship the Holy ONE on the New Moon (II Kings 4:23; Ezekiel 45:17; and Ezekiel 46:1), and when HE has HIS Temple rebuilt, then we will again be able to resume this service and worship.

 

When we return to our heritage and worship YIHOVAH according to HIS Ways, then we can establish our own “Calendar of the Universe,” whereby, the days of the New Moon and all GOD’s Holy Days will be recognized by the whole entire World.  And I am sure that it will be the desire of the Righteous Remnant and ALL the world to make a Feast to the Most High GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel every First Day of the Month. 

 

ALSO, I believe that if Lot (Genesis 19:3) and Abraham (Genesis 21:8) can proclaim “Feasts,” then there is no stipulation for NOT establishing Feast Days, as we so desire.  Therefore, to proclaim a Feast to EXALT the Holy ONE of Israel on the First Day of each month is quite acceptable - given the Scripture (above) regarding worshipping Our LORD GOD of ISRAEL, Our SAVIOR, on the New Moons.  We should know that throughout the Tanakh Hebrew Israelites called for “feasts” for various occasions.  Therefore, we are within our rights to observe a Feast every New Moon to Our GOD, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel.   And those of us who love this WONDERFUL GOD and who choose HIM to EXALT HIM for being the ONLY LORD and SAVIOR can be at liberty to use the day of the New Moon to show forth HIS PRAISE in a “feast” and worship HIM in Jerusalem FOREVER. 

 

“And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.”

LOSING WEIGHT MAY PREVENT CANCER DEATHS

Losing weight could prevent one of every six cancer deaths in the United States - more than 90,000 each year, according to a sweeping study that experts say links fat and cancer more convincingly than ever before.

 

Researchers spent 16 years evaluating 900,000 people who were cancer-free when the study began in 1982. They concluded that excess weight may account for 14 percent of all cancer deaths in men and 20 percent of those in women.

 

The study was big enough to back up a fat connection not only in cancers where it has been known for some time, but in eight where it hadn't been widely documented, lead researcher Eugenia Calle said.

 

Calle, whose study is in Thursday's New England Journal of Medicine, said she was surprised the link ``really was the rule more than the exception.''

 

A commentary said the study is 10 times greater than the largest previous research on the topic. Top researchers in both cancer and obesity said the research virtually proves they are linked.

 

``Because of the magnitude and strength of the study, it's irrefutable,'' said Dr. Donna Ryan, head of clinical research at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge. ``It's absolutely convincing. And therefore it's frightening.''

 

Dr. Robert Mayer of Harvard Medical School and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston said it's not certain whether one in five, six or seven cancers might be prevented or better treated if people lost weight.

 

``What's clear is that large studies of this sort - and this is the biggest and best to date - show very clearly this is a major health problem in this country,'' said Mayer, speaking for the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

 

The study by American Cancer Society relied on the body mass index [BMI] using heights and weights reported by study participants. For instance, a 5-foot-11 person who weighs 175 pounds would have a BMI of 24.4, near the top of the normal range. A 5-foot-3, 175-pounder would be obese, with a BMI of 31.

 

For the study, a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 was considered normal. Those who were overweight (25 to 29.9) or obese (30 or over were all compared to the normal group, and statistical analysis was used to adjust for smoking and other risk factors.

 

Earlier studies have found that excess weight contributes to cancers of the breast and uterus, colon and rectum, kidney, esophagus and gall bladder. This one also linked it to cancers of the cervix and ovary, multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, pancreas, liver, and, in men, the stomach and prostate.

 

The researchers found no link between fat and brain, skin and bladder cancers.

 

There are two big reasons the overall link is stronger in women than in men, Calle said.

 

``More women are obese,'' she said. ``And also, breast cancer plays a pretty big role here. That's obviously one of the most common cancers.''

 

Too much body fat can influence cancer and cancer mortality a number of ways. It increases the amount of estrogen in the blood, increasing the risk of cancers of the female reproductive system. It increases the risk of acid reflux, which can cause cancer of the esophagus. It raises levels of insulin, prompting the body to create a hormone, which causes cells to multiply.

 

Obesity also makes cancer harder to diagnose and treat. It's harder to see or feel lumps and bumps, and some patients don't fit into CAT scanners, Mayer said.

 

They also may avoid regular doctor's visits, ``possibly because of their appearance or they just shy away from physicians,'' he said.

 

``The morbidly obese are harder to operate on, harder to plan radiation therapy for - often, they don't even fit into a radiation therapy machine,'' Mayer said. He said it also is hard to decide the right chemotherapy dose for the obese, because fat tissue sometimes absorbs the chemicals.

 

Both Ryan and Calle said attitudes must change about weight the way they did about smoking. They said communities, workplaces, schools and transportation all need to change to make it easier both to eat right and exercise.  ``We've developed a culture where you have to work really hard to eat right and exercise,'' Calle said. ``We're kind of stacking the deck against ourselves.

 

``Until we accept that it is a bigger problem than one of individual discipline, we probably won't be too successful in turning it around.''

Of all the people in the world, probably fewer than a million are aware that the descendants of the Biblical Israelites are Black.  Yes, that’s one truth that has been denied, kept very well hidden, and unpublished for well over two thousand years.  But be that as it may and regardless of what the color of the descendants of the Biblical Israelites, another concealed truth is that the present Rulers of this world are only in power and control because of the great sins of the Children of Israel for rejecting their GOD and HIS Righteous Laws, Statutes, and Judgments (Deuteronomy 28:44).   Therefore, this Message has a two-fold purpose, and that is

 

(1)    to shed light on the nation that is The Daughter of Babylon and

(2)    to enlighten the descendants of the Biblical Israelites to “flee” the lands under the control of the Daughter of Babylon and return to the ONE True GOD of Abraham and Moses.

 

All Twelve Tribes of Jacob/Israel are in the cruel hands of nations of European descent because of failure to be obedient to the GOD of Israel that made an Everlasting Covenant with them and then saved them out of Egyptian captivity.  But they chose to worship the false gods of the Canaanites who inhabited the land whose name was changed to the Land of Israel.  And as a result of their insane iniquity, they have suffered miserably at the hands of Gentiles who have made them the poorest and most shameful and uninformed of all peoples upon this Earth.  From GOD’s curse upon HIS Chosen People, HE enabled the Gentiles to forcibly remove them from their land and heritage and from the continent of “Africa” and purposely cause their ethnic cleansing (Deuteronomy 28th Chapter; Isaiah 1:2 – 7; Jeremiah 6:19; Jeremiah 9:13 – 16; Jeremiah 16:10 – 13). 

 

“Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

 

”And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.

 

“But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD.”   Ezekiel 12:2,15,16

 

“I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.”   Isaiah 47:6

 

The greatest of all these Gentile rulers to fulfill the curses of Deuteronomy 28th Chapter upon Israelites is the United States of America, its Constitution, and its heartless rulers.  No matter their political parties, these rulers do not hesitate to boast that this country is the Super Power of all powers and is the “Greatest Country in the World.”  And in their hype, they insult, and humiliate other peoples of European, Asian, and Arab descent without respect and consideration for their contributions to the world and/or their access to weapons of mass destruction.   Consequently, this kind of talk only creates enemies who will seek to do harm to this “Greatest Country in the World.” 

 

To date, the United States has invaded and is occupying Iraq or rather Ancient Babylon with hopes of usurping its oil rich resources and controlling the Middle East in an effort to perpetuate and ensure that it remains the greatest country in the world.  Because the United States now has absolute authority over Ancient Babylon, we would be within our rights to say that this great country (the USA) can now be called the Daughter of Babylon.  But can the United States still be the Daughter of Babylon even if it returns Iraq to the Iraqis?  Let’s consider prophecy…

 

“And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.”   Isaiah 13:19

 

“Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.”  Jeremiah 50:13

 

These verses could not be about Ancient Babylon, and the reason is that Ancient Babylon was not completely destroyed as was Sodom and Gomorrah, and people dwell in Iraq to the tune of approximately 25 million. 

 

“In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.”   Jeremiah 50:4

 

Not under any circumstances can we dismiss this verse, as it speaks volumes.  Jeremiah 50:4 is of most importance, and we must consider what all it is telling us.  Take careful note that at the time of the fall of the Babylon mentioned in Jeremiah 50:4, the Children of Israel AND the Children of Judah TOGETHER will go seeking the LORD their GOD.  This is key to understanding and identifying present-day Babylon.
